Marathon Fees & Race Information

Online Registraton HAS ENDED FOR
THE MARATHON AND HALF-MARATHON
Marathon and Half-Marathon runners may still register in person at Showplace on
Friday, November 18 between Noon and 10:00 pm.
THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION FOR THE MARATHON OR HALF MARATHON.

5K runners may register in person at Showplace on Friday, November 18 between Noon
and 10:00 pm or Saturday, November 19 between 6:00 am and 7:30 am.

The Marathon course starts and finishes in High Point at Showplace in the center of High Point’s International Furniture Market and incorporates 26.2 miles of scenic and historic sites and neighborhoods.

Pricing:

1. Until July 29, 2011 :  $65.00
    
2. Until October 24, 2011:  $70.00
    
3. Until November 15, 2011:  $80.00
    

Events Site Rules:
Race Capacity: 1000

USATF SANCTIONED:
The N.C. MARATHON is a USA Track & Field sanctioned event, USATF certification, #NC-09020-PH.

Cut Off Time:
All participants must complete the race in 7 hours. Event officials reserve the right to pull a participant off the course if it appears as though that participant will not be able to complete the race in less than 7 hours.

Minimum Age:
The minimum age for participating in the N.C. MARATHON is 16 years old. Any athelete under 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the registration form.

Timing System:
The N.C. MARATHON will be timed using the ChampionChip Timing System.

Race Day Packet Pickup
Saturday, November 19 - 6:30 a.m. to 7:40 a.m.
On the Plaza in front of Showplace, 211 E. Commerce, High Point, NC.

This is packet pickup only. There is no registration for the Marathon or Half-Marathon on Race Day.

Race Start:
8:00 a.m.

Lodging Information:
The official hotel of the N.C. MARATHON is the Best Western High Point. It is located immediately adjacent to Showplace:

Arrangements have been negotiated for participants of the race allowing rooms to be reserved at TBA per night. Please make sure you tell them you are with the Marathon when reserving your room or you may not receive this special rate.
